Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an active caseload, providing individual and group psychotherapy to HATT members. You’ll be the cornerstone of their recovery journey.
  • Work closely with other HATT staff, prescribers, and service providers to ensure seamless, integrated care.
  • Keep thorough, accurate records, including assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans, ensuring all documentation is timely and compliant.
  • Meet members where they are, conducting home visits and engaging in community settings to provide the support they need.
  • Offer critical support for recovery and substance abuse treatment, tailoring your approach to each member’s unique needs.
  • Prepare and continually refine treatment plans in collaboration with members and the HATT team, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
  • Be ready to assist in emergencies with on-call responsibilities, providing vital services when they’re needed most.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work (REQUIRED)
  • At least one year experience working with the adult mentally ill population.
  • A team player who values collaboration and integrated care.
  • Someone with excellent documentation skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • A flexible, adaptable professional ready to meet members’ needs with compassion and dedication.

Currently seeking a proactive and efficient professional to join our Broward County Forensic Program Team as a Court Liaison. In this role, you will serve as an advocate and expert in court for mentally ill individuals committed to the Department of Children and Families under Chapter 916, Florida Statute. 

Full-time – $42,000/year – Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for mentally ill individuals in court, providing support and consultation.
  • Review client case files and professional reports before court hearings.
  • Consult with Court Administration and provide expert opinions on client progress.
  • Attend Mental Health Court sessions and assist in ensuring Conditional Release plans are updated and forwarded.
  • Maintain close relationships with judicial assistants, the Public Defender’s Office, the State Attorney’s Office, and Court Administration.
  • Distribute dockets, court orders, hospital evaluations, and reports.
  • Provide updates at team meetings and preside over weekly calls with Case Management agencies.
  • Stay informed about all cases on the court’s calendar and be prepared to address the court and attorneys.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in the Health and Human Services field (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Health Education, etc.) OR a bachelor’s degree with at least one year experience with the adult mentally ill population (REQUIRED).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License, clear driving record, proof of insurance, and availability of an automobile.
  • In-depth knowledge of Chapter 916, Florida Statute, is essential.
